I'm not really sure if I'm back, I've started and stopped a couple of drafts over the years but nothing has really kept my attention. The last draft that caught my attention was about a shewolf in the Under the Skin world who tired of being treated like a feral animal the whole time and wanted something more human, more sensual. But that's probably not what you're looking for when it comes to sexy werewolves. Writing wise, I think I've kinda exhausted the werewolf genre, at least my little niche of it. Which is fine, I've been writing on and off about werewolves for almost 25 years now. I have been experimenting with AI, however. Crushon.ai has been fun. It's got its limitations but the potential for the werewolf imagination is really there. I might be tempted to make some of my shewolf chatbots public if that's something people want to have fun with. I think the only condition is it would be great if you share what you produced with my chatbots. As much as I like to write new

Don't do the same thing over and over

So hey, before those last two stories, it had been a very long while since I posted anything. A lot of it was work, because there were days that happened to run into the days after without proper sleep, but that's not to complain, I love what I do IRL. The more important part that's relevant to this journal entry is when I get into creative droughts. Not writer's block as I understand it (which manifests in procrastination and boredom and interest in other things), but just episodes of drought where nothing new happens in my head. Sometimes they last for weeks or months, this last one was a year.

My pleasure! It's a really different take on the werewolf, something I've been trying to run toward but I keep getting stuck reaching for the obvious, lol, and end up in wish fulfillment land. And it seems you have something in mind further down the storyline, which I like a lot. Looking forward to the next part!

I'm actually REALLY pleased with the way my mind is working on Fated Moon. I've got a lot of material already written, but I'm releasing it slower than normal to help combat writing myself into a corner, and to give me time to think a few steps ahead. I used to just release stuff as I wrote, and I'd suddenly lose inspiration due to life getting in the way, or just general writer's block, and by the time any inspiration hit, the moment had passed on the story, if that makes any sense.
I don't generally do outlines, beyond "in my own head" kind of thing. I've tried, but I often have characters taking on a life of their own, which makes my initial plan rather impossible to go with, and that's been the case here, but I'm very inspired right now.
Things are going to move slowly, because I'm building a world as well with all of this. Probably all of my future writing is going to take place in the Fated Mooniverse, as I've already got some jumping off points in my mind for when this first bit is finally all shared. Whether they become full narratives on their own or simply short story interludes, only time will tell. There's elements of some of my earlier writing here, but more fleshed out and realized. This is absolutely my most fully envisioned story in years.
At any rate, I'm glad you're enjoying it, and I hope I don't disappoint!
